Community Architects for Society & People (CASP) is a group of architects, urban planners and social activists who aim to use their skills for social good. In the world, the slum population is increasing. One out of eight urban populations in the world, and one out of four people in developing countries are living in slums. More and more people are being affected by climate-related disasters and also by conflicts and wars. They are in urgent need of external support for rebuilding their settlement. ASP was established to support the people’s initiatives for slum upgrading, settlement improvement, and disaster recovery both in the cities of South Korea and in developing countries. In the long term, ASP aims to contribute to strengthening communities and developing inclusive cities.
